apprentice aircraft fitterL: learning new skills and advancing old ones in areas that may be important during work at BAE
i have learnt many new skills as well as honing old ones to much higher degrees of accuracy.
the work is good and keeps us at a good level of activity and the colleagues and team members are helpful and freindly.
seeing the investment and time that BAE put in to the programme and the effort they go to ensure the happiness of the apprentices i feel more valued than any other previuos employer.
there have been moments within the programme where certain aspects have not gone to plan which is to be expected under certain circumstances responses to these events have been quick and effective which leads to gaining the desired result
the level of support each apprentice gains is related to the amount of support required and asked for by the apprentice themselves and in some cases if the team or manegment notice a problem I have recieved ample support for and and all issues i have had and I am very pleased with the support provided.
our training is provided directly by our employer.
the only issue i have with the money i recieve is due to my geographical location and is not the fault of the company but i have plenty for the journey required to get to work for the hours that i need.
there are several sports events organised by the company and members within it as well as team organised meals and christmas parties
Yes
the entire experience has been good so far and the training and wage packet are significantly better than many of my friends performing other apprenticeships
do relevant research and ensure that your knowledge of the company and the apprenticeship are good as well as being freindly to those you meet during interview stages as you may be working with them later
