Analysing court orders and interpret them to then use banking systems to collate customer data which is relevant to each specific case, reviewing the information and preparing documents to be issued out to law enforcement agencies. Other tasks involve training other colleagues on the process, second checking others work for quality assurance and managing work flow with a specific team.
IT skills have been highly developed through the process due to use of excel in day to day work, you pick up new and easier ways of working around spread sheets. Other systems have been able to show some form of understanding with coding and macros. Literacy skills have been developed due to creating and issuing professional documentation daily.
The program was some what interesting and new knowledge was gained however some aspect of the program were slightly too easy for the level of the program making certain aspects tedious and very basic. Interesting aspects were the more challenging points which required additional research but even then some were not totally relevant to the program.
The structure in terms of work books, assessments etc was well structured and one aspect of the course lead on from the next however I had to change coach 4 times throughout my year on the program which did give it a bit of a disjointed feel, which is obviously some times an unavoidable circumstance. Each coach I did have throughout the year was professional and always helpful.
My employer allowed for a percentage of time to be taken during work hours to work on the program and complete work books if needed. Many other colleagues who had previously completed the program always offered support and were there for any questions if required as well as having the support from the coach.
The coach always offers support and was always just an email away if you had any questions or needed something clarifying. Even previous coaches that I no longer reported to offered their assistance if ever I required it. Due to the nature of the program not a lot of further assistance was needed but it was assuring to have.
The program enabled me to become more confident as there were presentations to do and new opportunities. The most valuable aspect was that the coach always encouraged you to reflect on your learning and track how far you have been able to develop yourself and all that you have learnt.
There are always social events to attend, Christmas parties and such alike, there are often some team building opportunities to do inside of the business such as team quizzes and competitions. There is sometimes buffets provided to reward good work. Professional networking is available where you can visit other sites in Edinburgh and London, expenses paid!

There is ample opportunity for progression within the business, the salary is competitive and there is a good sense of community amongst colleagues. They offer rewards schemes and benefits such as purchasing holiday days, child care vouchers, annual bonuses, car schemes etc. There is also a chance to have shares within the bank.
You have to take control of your own development, steer it in a direction that you want it to take. There are a lot of opportunities to learn and try new things so take each opportunity you can to make the most of what they can offer. Have great attention to detail and pride in your work, strive to be the best you can and help to reach the banks aims.
