My team has certain responsibilities that I needs to carry out such as budget management, I get allocated a certain level of responsibility which is key for the team. This involves the management of cost centres, the communication with relevant people to get an understanding of their budget, if they're overspending or underspending, the story behind that. Assisting in any system difficulty to do with the budget etc.
Yes, organisational skills, communication, time management, leadership, budget management skills etc.
I enjoy coming in to work because of the workplace and the way it's set up, as well as my team, furthermore, I enjoy the process of learning and understanding my role better as I try to be come an integral part of the team.
It's organised well, I had online classrooms at a certain date with exams date too, so you know what needs to be done. Near the end of my apprenticeship there was a bit of confusion, miscommunication and lack of clarity regarding the final bits needed to finish my apprenticeship.
My team is always available and ready to support, and it's recommended to ask as many questions as possible, they're very supportive.
We have quarterly calls and we can email them whenever and they do reply back quickly, we also have a point of contact for any quick/urgent discussions.
It gives me wider and better knowledge on finance, and in some cases I have to apply it and it other cases I don't. The qualification is great, it's just that the role doesn't really require a lot of knowledge from my qualification, but other roles do!
There's activities organised dependent on the team you're in, e.g. football weekly. Or your team may do social activities such as going to Winter Wonderland.
