my day can vary from between doing manual testing to helping different teams with a variety of problems on the 3d model of the ship to helping tidy up
yes I have been able to have a try at welding, pipefitting and electrical wiring since starting my apprenticeship, all of which I had never done before. I have also gained a variety of computer skills since joining, such as; how to use excel, and how to use drawing software such as CAD
most of the time I enjoy my apprenticeship as it gives me the chance to do work that I might never have had the opportunity to do.
the apprenticeship is structured very well and aims to provide the best quality apprenticeship out there today, however at points not everyone is organised as well as they perhaps could be
my employer, BAE Systems provides a huge amount of support and are firm but understanding about goals that they set for me to achieve.
they give me the time and support I need to achieve my qualifications.
my qualifications have been used a number of times in the work that I do in the yard, and without the qualifications that I have earned thus far I would not be able to do the work that I do.
there aren't a lot of events such as this
Yes
it has given me the chance to improve my skills while working on an important project such as a naval ship. I have met great people who all work together to complete a task and I am proud of my work.
show that you are genuinely interested in the interview and be willing to apply yourself in order to get the most that you can out of the apprenticeship as it is a great programme.
