Currently day to day I am working in a clients office helping with aspects of planning, scheduling and risk relating to the project.
I have learnt many new skills from working on a project and also through my training provider. I have really developed skills I already have through being in a business environment working with professionals.
I am really enjoying my programme as I have been fully involved from the start. I have been given a great mentor and my training provider has been good at delivering relevant knowledge.
My apprenticeship has been structured really well with internal and external training. I meet with my line manager formally once a month to discuss my programme and to ensure I’m on track with my objectives. There are many people I am able to reach out to regarding my training.
The support from my employer is excellent. I have had a mentor since i have started who has given me so much support with time and knowledge. There are many people who I am able to reach out to regarding anything.
My training provider keeps in constant contact with myself and Mace. All modules I have been taught are then met with an internal knowledge and skills test, then formal exams take place one the training provider are confident in my own knowledge. I am very happy with the support given.
Everything that I have been learning with my training provider is extremely relevant with my day to day role. I have been able to apply my learning at college to the project I am currently working on which has helped me complete tasks.
I have attended many social events through work. When internal training sessions take place with other apprentices we all try and go out together after. Mace also give all employees one day a year to complete a volunteering day which you are able to do with other colleagues.
Yes
I find Mace a really enjoyable place to work and I am happy with my day to day role and the communication level I have with my line manager and mentor. I am learning a lot of new skills and look forward to coming into work.
