  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • To my knowledge I don't think that there are any specific activities set up. I have planned myself and I do know there are after work activities and functions to bring teams closer together. These are usually constructed by individual team managers on occasions when people are off work.

  • 9a. Would you recommend DHL to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I have been working as a core colleague for almost nine years now. There have always been ways to develop yourself as an individual and encouragement is always given to learn new departments. I am almost 49 years of age now and don't want to change my career now.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to DHL?
  • I would highly recommend anyone to come and work for DHL. I have nothing but compliments for the company. Even when I started working here as an agency colleague in 2008 they gave me full encouragement to apply for a core job to which I did and was accepted later in 2010.
