Software Engineering Apprentice - Daily tasks include full software lifecycle tasks, from software requirements through design and implementation to testing. Internal communications with other apprentices, colleagues and management. Small projects including Intranet enhancements and database driven software.
Internally completing a level 3 NVQ in software engineering and externally completing a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science with Software Development. On going internal training courses appropriate to current projects and skills required.
Good atmosphere within the office, friendly & helpful employees.
Always involved in projects as an equal employee, although help is always available and questions are encouraged. Recognition is given for good projects and involvement in activities.
Thorough induction into the company is given in the first week. Support is always offered and extra time on comany premises during time away at university is encouraged as a time for questions to be asked. New apprentices mentored by existing apprentices. Sufficient time for studying and training is provided.
