Although I am a project manager apprentice, I do mainly carry our admin roles. I answer emails, help my team with additional tasks, deal with customers. I do work on a variety of projects weekly, however these are fairly small projects. I do actually own one of the projects however, it is fairly small.
I have definitely developed skills whilst working here at Siemens such as organisation, being able to use my initiative, working independently and communicating to a variety of different audiences. It is important in the role that I wish to continue in that I am able to work well but by using these key skills.
I do enjoy my programme as this is something I am hugely interested in and do want to have a career in. I enjoy learning the new skills and the new techniques of managing projects and leading a team. I also enjoy the confidence that the programme has given me.
Yes, my programme does seem well organised and structured. The training staff are well polite and kind and always a phone call away if you need any help. They are very responsive and get back to me on things quickly which I hugely appreciate. Overall it is well organised / structured.
I do receive some support in terms of being given the small projects to do. Yes I do receive support and guidance when working towards my qualification. They allocate time for me to complete certain tasks which is really appreciative. I also receive plenty of advice which is always helpful.

I also receive plenty of advice as well as further options such as joining institutes, completing additional courses or qualifications that will help benefit me and my career.
Yes I do feel that this helps as I can now contribute and shout ideas and ways of going about problems in a more positive manor. It also provides me with the confidence to be able to voice my opinion and ideas in meetings, presentations, even just in friendly conversation.
In my area, I do not believe there is anything. I have posted on the Siemens Social networking Site to find out if there are any activities or extra-curricular activities to get involved in but there did not seem to be. I did suggest a Shadow board for apprentices to sit and shadow management and those in higher positions for experience but also to be given the chance to voice opinions from an apprentice point of view but nothing of such thing has been organised.
Yes
I believe that Siemens is a good company with lots of potential for career progression. They help to push you to your next qualification and help you with other qualifications and courses that are online. Siemens is also very good for networking and getting to know a variety amount of people from different backgrounds and different careers.
Work hard, complete college work and training work when it is required as all the effort and hard work you put into the apprenticeship will pay off. Another tip would be to know what you want to achieve and get out of Siemens as this will with your direction and where you want to position/ see yourself in the future.
