Trade monitoring, new asset setups and removing assets from platform and deal corrections. If any issues arise with trades I deal with them as well as attending meetings to discuss these issues and coming up with mitigation strategies for the future. We also liaise with third parties for any trade amendments.
Yes I have learnt many new skills and developed many skills as well. Some of these skills include my presentation skills as I often have to present in meetings weekly. Communication skills as when I present or talk to third parties over the phone this helps development of communication skills.
I am enjoying my programme, my team mates are very friendly and helpful. We also have days out such as going to the pub, bowling, bottomless brunches, escape rooms and much more. On the job it is enjoyable due to the people you are around and also the work I do is interesting.
The structure is very organised and done very well from my employer, however the training provider is letting the structure and organisation down. This is because I am 5 months in and my training provider has been unable to enrol me yet onto their platform but this should be resolved soon.
I get lots of support from a wide range of people. I have regular 1 to 1's with my line manager and weekly team meetings where we discuss any issues or things we need help with. I also have a mentor who helps me with my career for the future.
As I am not enrolled for my training provider, Kaplan, I have received minimal, if not any support. This has been disappointing as I have been working for 5 months now. Due to me not being enrolled I am unsure as too how much I will get in the future.
The qualification is very helpful in learning the industry as a whole and all the different parts to the industry as well. It helps me understand different aspects to my role which I might not of known about otherwise, however it does not go into specifics about what I do.
Yes, every year you get 2 paid days off for CSR, where you can go do things for charities whether it be physical or just office work. You can also do your own fundraising events for a personal charity and Fidelity also match the amount you raise. We also have work days out and socials at least once a month.
Yes
Fidelity International is a worldwide company that offers great potential for career growth and give a wide range of networking opportunities. the people who I work with are great and the culture implemented at Fidelity International is also very professional but yet enjoyable to work in. They are very flexible which helps personal aspects.
I would say make sure you asks lots of questions as if you are unsure on something you are less likely to understand trying to figure it out yourself than. Also don't be shy, but neither to confident, as if you are quite you will not be an attractive candidate but if you are overly confident this can also come across in a bad way.
