I clean mine and my mentors bay and make sure no one is hurt by what we do. I apply body filler to panels to correct the shape if they are in an accident and then I have to rub it down to allow it to get back to the right shape
I have developed many skills such as health and safety, how to shape body panels, how to mix filler, how to use the photocopier, how to repair panels, how to repair plastics, how to strip and fit cars ready for them to be fixed then prepped then painted then given back
I enjoy being here very much as i have made lots of friends and met a very wide variety of very different people. They have all taught me something different and gave me lots of help and opportunities since i have been here. Its very fun and new every day here
It is a very organised place as everything needs to br correctly in place for the customers and the people who work here They encourage you and offer lots and lots of help towards you and allow you to learn with others and do things alone to learn new things
A lot. I am always speaking to the employer at direct line he comes to the workshop and sees me very often to see how i get on and what i have been doing this allows me to keep up with things and allows him to feel happy i am doing well
I have lots of support of off him as he always tells me what to do and makes sure al my work is done on time and makes sure nothing is wrong so i get on well at work so i have fun and continue to learn whilst i work
Its good because you learn new things everyday as no 2 days are the same here. At thatcham i learn all new skills and can use them in the work place so thats very goo. I enjoy this so i can do more and help other people more in return
No i dont do any any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events as i work 40 hours a week and dont have time i would like to but just do not have the time i take my dog oit and do thingd with family our with them
Yes
Its a great place and the people are so so supportive and helpful they all do their best to help you and you learn something new from every different oerson you work with. They help you and the money is very good for an apprenticeship and i enjoy it here
I would say be prepared to go sway for a week to reading. Be up for learning and working with different people. You learn so much and have many many experiences to learn from so you dont mistakes twice and help other people and see your work after it is finished
