  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I really enjoy this role as a craft electrician - I am in plant matenance at the moment and I really enjoy that too. Every day Is different in what we do whatever needs fixing we will try to fix it I think that this is one of the best roles to be on.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt new skills in both the electrical and mechanical side I am doing the btec course which has taught me a lot of stuff which I use everyday in my job role I also have been taught a lot of stuff from the guys I work with

  • I fully enjoy my program as it’s a new job every day I really enjoy this role as a craft electrician - I am in plant matenance at the moment and I really enjoy that too.   • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program is well structured by Siemens but I think Lincoln college could do better as some rooms are double booked and sometimes the Techers don’t turn up and there’s no cover to take it - they could improve by employing more staff and better organisation at the collage

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I recive lots of support from my employer, we have regular meetings and reviews which is very helpful. the HR office is where we would allways go if we needed support and help with anything we are all supported with our studies at college which is a nice help to us.

  • At college I recive lots of support we have regular meetings and reviews which is very helpful. the HR office is where we would allways go if we needed support and help with anything we are all supported with our studies at work which is a nice help to us.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have used lots of my qualification in the work place as it’s a new job every day I really enjoy this role as a craft electrician - I am in plant matenance at the moment and I really enjoy that too.   • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not that i know of I would like it if there was as I am a passionate golfer and I would like to become part of a team with work. That would be a goood thing a work could to to improve team building and friend ships across the work force

  • Yes

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
  • Always keep Practice interviewing questions until you know them stay on top of your studies and allways try your hardest Because Siemens is a very hard apprenticeship to get and if you do get it, hopefully you are set for life and won’t Need another job on completion of your apprenticeship
