The day is usually structured, Majority of the day will be cold calling prospect customers looking to gain new business, and warm calling our current customers to expand into more areas. We all develop different strategies when targeting our customers, such as sending blanket & targeted emails, Marketing and mainly try to differ ourselves from the rest of the competition.
Definitely, I am a lot more confident in myself. I find it a lot easier to speak to new people. I don't find communicating with varying types of people difficult and i can hold myself a lot better in technical conversations. We learn different skills every week as training is constant varied.
I previously spent 4 years working in McDonalds. I hated it. The fact that i now come to work everyday looking forward to it, knowing i can create my own opportunities and practically run my own business. What i put in is what i get out so i enjoy working hard.
Very well. I have found that the structure of the training ties in the complexity of some of the products such as security and data center, I wouldn't of felt comfortable starting off with these subjects. I much more prefer the developing our sales skills as a priority. Really compliments how the complexity of the later quarters are handled because we feel a lot more comfortable asking the difficult questions and getting further within the sales cycle.
I cant really quantify but i have hard a very hard first half of the year. I have been through a lot, work have been amazing with support and making sure i got the assistance i needed at the right time. My team and my manager definitely helped pulling through the first few months.
Both my training mentors have had a massive impact on my ability to do my job day in day out. They have both been extremely helpful in developing a strategy that suited me and how i like to go about working with customers. I was definitely worried i wouldn't suit the sales role as i'm overly honest and easy going. But it has worked out super well for me so far!
100% A lot of the tips and tricks that have been brought to my training lessons that we later in the day go and put into practice have shown me how easily they can work. Since then i have been using most of them as part of my day-to-day job.
Yes. We run football teams after work, occasionally we will arrange nights out. Once a quarter we will have a team night out where we all vote on where we want to go so it suits everyone's needs.
Yes
100% the opportunity that you see here on a day to day will absolutely motivate you to get past the difficult patches. It happens so often to anyone that you will believe it will happen to you. It's not always instant gratification but it definitely is a massive confidence boost.
Be yourself. Not everyone is a technical wizard. Not everyone is super confident. Just be yourself
