I attend college 5 days a week to work towards my level 3 qualifications and my level 2 nvq. I learn about a range of different engineering subjects that will benefit me and give me a good understanding on engineering before I attend site and work on a wind turbine
Yes I have learnt new skills and developed on my already underlying skills. I have enhanced my working in a team skills and also my communication skills. I have also learnt new skills whilst at college, I have learnt about plcs which I previously didn’t have no knowledge in.
I enjoy my program throughouly throughout the time I have undertaken it. It has allowed me to meet new friends and people who I may not have met before as I live so far away from Newcastle. Also it’s been really enjoyable learinging about new topics that I haven’t studied before.
So far the program has been very well structured and organized. I have a clear understanding of what my goal is and what I’m working towards on the course. The programme is also very well organized, there is a clear understanding of what training I will need and when and there is a good plan in place to ensure I finish the apprenticeship in the given timeframe.
I receive lots of support from my employer to ensure that I am on track in college and not falling behind. The company keeps me updated regularly on targets and goals and how things are going and I can contact them to ask for support and guidance if I need any.
I receive a lot of support from the training provider when working towards my qualifications. Lecturers are always there to help and giving support and guidance at all times I’m college. They ensure that I am on track and setting targets and goals that need to be met by myself and keeping track of that.
I think by working towards my qualification and completing it will help me perform much better in my role. By having a good understating of topics that I might not use regularly gives me the opportunity in the future to build on my already underlying skills and also the qualification will give me a good insight in what is to come in the future.
