I work in L'Oreal Luxury Division over a number of brands which gives me a wide spread of knowledge and learning. I work on the marketing team which means my day to day roles are focused on advertisements and boosting brand awareness. I work on reporting and digital marketing. I also work closely with the instore team
My excel skills have improved massively from my sales side of my role. I have learnt loads about the digital marketing area and the use of social media for marketing campaigns. i have Learnt how to use photo shop and editing pictures. My people communication has improved massively which is useful for the future,
I have hugely enjoyed the process and learnt so much along the way. I feel that it has boosted my confidence and my work ethic further. You do get fully thrown in but it is worth it for how much you learn! I would 100% recommend to anyone who likes business and beauty!
The application programme is quite long and took a few months in total (lots of stages of interviews!) Once you get the role, the team are super helpful in telling you how much study leave you are entitled to etc. so you always know :) there is a specific HR team just for us so you get lots of help
L'OREAL massively support us through ideas such as study leave days off for before hand ins. You can also speak to your manager about you role in order to focus it on what you want to achieve from uni too. there is a specific HR team just for us so you get lots of help
Pearson provide online lectures to ensure you have all of the necessary information. All of the tutors are more than happy to help both face to face and over the phone/emails. You also get a mentor that you meet with regularly to discuss your progress (every 3 months approx)
It definitely gives you the overall knowlegde and more depth than you may learn from work day to day. It also helps you explore other areas of the company (eg. supply chain and in store teams.) It gives you a great overview which you can put into practice during the week at work
There is lots of work socials and activities for you to get involved with. There is also the opportunity to join sports teams (football, netball, volleyball etc.) L'OREAL is very social and holds lots of events very regularly which is great for getting to know other people from different teams
Yes
Amazing opportunity to learn on the job. You get a degree without the debt and also gain multiple years of experience for your CV at the same time. I think it is the ideal situation as it is the best of both worlds. You get the social side of uni but through work
Be confident in yourself during the interview process. Do not be scared to ask questions in the role. Network and make lots of friends. Go to socials to get to know more and more people Learn lots about other brands too Do not be scared about making mistakes sell yourself with all your pros
