so we have to deal with customer quires. so us as consultants would be on the phone speaking to the customer about their car insurance. This could be doing a change of car or any change too their current policy. We would work 37.5 hours a week Saturday to Sunday shifts.
i have learnt many skills at direct line group. as this is my first job i have learnt how to be more independent. like waking up in the morning even if its early and a struggle. another skill ive learnt is to be nice and friendly to customers as i work in customer service
i did enjoy doing the apprenticeship, however i must admit that it felt like it was repeating tasks more than it needed to. especially with the finance one. i believe the who course could of been simplified to make it quicker to complete. i did like some of the tasks which did involve powerpoint.
i felt like it was fairly organised however it could still be worked on. for example one of my tutors only came to see me like 1 time every 2 months. it was very unorganised when it came to my shifts and when they can come and see me. but the programme its self was good.
our employees here at direct line group, did give us 3 and a half hours each week to get the work complete. they didn't give us any more time if we needed it. In some cases they did remove the training if we were very busy on the phones.
we did get support from our training providers, but i still feel like we could of had more. As I said in previous question one came in 1 time every 2 months. However the other person I had who came in to see me, came in every month at the minimum.
at the start of the qualification i was very far behind, this was due to my work effic and also due to not knowing who could help me. however at the end of the course i really started to work hard and managed to finish the course on time without fail.
there's no extra curricular activates which we can get involved in what work provide however my colleges and i have started up a goals football team after work. This is good for team bonding. I also get on with my colleges in my team so we do sometimes go on nights out
Yes
here at direct line group we do get paid very good for the job role we actually do. I would recommend direct line group to a friend because we get good bonus and we also get treated very well. you get to meet new people in a very nice and friendly environment.
I would tell someone if they wanted to work here to be patient and to stick with the job. it does take getting used too especially when your new to work. i would also inform them to follow their call prompts as this is the most important thing to the job role at the start.
