Shift Managers perform a variety of tasks, which may include planning for each shift, monitoring performance during the shift, taking action to ensure the team is meeting McDonald's standards, monitoring safety, security, and profitability, and communicating with the next Shift Manager to help prepare him/her to run a great shift, too. Shift Managers may also be responsible for meeting targets during their shifts and for helping their assigned Departments meet their goals.
Yes some of the skills that I have learnt have helped me adapt the way in which I do things. People skills and the way that I communicate with both cute and customers and also skills dealing with money and the running of such a huge business like McDonald’s.
I hugely enjoy the experience. Everyday you are learning new tasks and are set with new responsibilities. The people that I have met along the way and the experiences that I have been offers through the course are amazing and are with me now for life. That is something you won’t get everywhere.
The program is really well oraginsed. It is all displayed out to us so that we understand the tasks that we are set to do and we work through the different sections in a way that makes sense and is clear to understand. We have contact every 6 weeks either face to face or via phone call.
The company and the employer give us a lot of support and this support ranges from giving us money to help cover any expenses to giving us time off to the floor to work. They also have an open door st any time if we need to go through anything with them
As stated before we have either a face to face meeting or a phone call every 6 weeks as a minimum. This can be increased as well if we feel that it is necessary. They also give us an email address and a number to contact someone if we are unaware of what to do.
Things that I am learning through this apprenticeship and help me hugely within my day to day job role basis. One of the biggest things is the confidence that it gives you, having the knowledge allows you to be more confident everyday when dealing with new customers. It also allows you to be able to keep good standards
We have a crew party at least every 6 months and that is the same for a mangers meal. This allows us to go out with the people we work with everyday. There is also football team that you can join, both male wnd female and we compete with other stores for charity.
Yes
McDonald’s is such an amazing company to work for. The people you met and work with become like family and you will definitely make friends for life. Everyday is new and new targets are set everyday. Smashing the target and the sales is a feeling I wish all my friends could feel.
Just be you, just be the person that you are everyday. Be confident t in yourself and when talking to other people. Show them that working as a team and also on your own is something that you are happy to do and that hard work isn’t a put off
