I work on the shop floor, five days a week, completing normal tasks performed by crew members and also learning my new role of a floor manager. I work in both the kitchen and the front and work on every station helping the customers in any way I possibly can.
I have learnt a lot of new skills with the main one being management skills as I have now been able to apply my knowledge to my actions at work. I have also developed my existing skills such as communication as I work with a very big interesting diverse team.
I enjoy working with my new team at McDonald’s and have support from the management team. I also have a lot of support from my apprenticeship side of my course helping me in any way. I also like seeing and helping all the different customers I serve every day.
My programme is nicely structured as my apprenticeship work goes along side my work at Mcdonalds’s. at work there are very helpful step by step books and online work to help me get to the next management position which is very organised and management help you with any thing.
I receive a lot of support of my employer. Especially off my mentor who makes sure I am on track and have no problems. My business manager also has regular hows it going chats which involves me and my manager going through everything that I have done and any issues.
I revive a lot of support off my training provider as she contacts me to make sure everything is ok and goes through my work and helps me improve. If I have any issues I can also easily email, text or call her to get help quickly on any thing.
I think my qualifications help me a lot in making me perform better in my new role of a manager, including how to deal with different situations. There are all different topics with in my training which can all be applied to all different aspects with in my work place.
I have helped the local environment by completing a litter pick around my store. We also have staff days out to different places such as Alton Towers. We then have crew nights out and Christmas nights out for staff. Then a salaried night out and a day at the races.
Yes
Very supportive team and nice work environment where I feel very safe and have a nice time at work. Everyday is different, working with all different customers who you get to know as regulars. You also work with a very diverse team who are all interesting in their own way.
Look into the role as you will be completing task that every member of staff will complete, you do this as when you move up into management you know all of the ins and outs. You will revive a lot of support and enjoy each day as they are all different.
