Come into work, check my emails. Get ready to sign on to the phone or deal with complaints if you're booked off doing cover. Day to day role you'll be dealing with customer queries to make amends to their insurance policies ensuring that everything is done quickly and efficiently.
There are many skills that I have developed while being in this apprenticeship. One of them being communication to different ages. This is good as I am now able to speak to all different ages in the correct manor and get my point across efficiently so that the person i am speaking to understands.
the extent that I enjoy the programme varies daily as I take many calls that can be difficult however I am able to get over this as I have team around me that are able to help answer my queries. Also all details for necessary websites was sent to our email with all of the details wee needed.
I believe that the programme is well organised and structured well because meetings and training time is scheduled weeks before it happens so you will always know whenever you have to do anything for the apprenticeship. Also all details for necessary websites was sent to our email with all of the details wee needed.
I receive a lot of support from my employer in many different aspects of this apprenticeship. Some of the ways that I receive this support is that I am allowed time off the phone given by my employer to be able to better in my exam for the apprenticeship degree.
The support that I receive from the training provider is very helpful as they arrange may things for us (apprentices)to participate in and complete. one of the things that they do to support us is set us different tasks that we can compete so that we understand what to revise.
From the qualification so far I have gained a lot of knowledge about insurance therefore my experiences in this job I have noticed I have used the knowledge from the book for different situations for different calls as the book has given me a lot of knowledge about insurance so sometimes I use that rather than ask my team leader.
There isn't any extra curricular activities to get involved in at work. however, this is okay as there are many benefits that the company do provide to its staff to insure that they can still get active together. This means although there is no extra curricular activities there are still things you can do as a team.
Yes
I would recommend Direct Line to a friend as they are a company that care about its staff. The reason that you can tell this is because they offer many discounts on internal services and external so that you as a employee can get the best services from every company.
I would tell others applying for direct line to research into the business and fully understand them and the job role as I wasn't fully aware of the job role when I first started. Also to make sure their knowledge of insurance was at a good standard as it will benefit them for the job.
