In my role we have to complete a variety of different jobs which include, set ups, loggings and welcome packs. We liaise with Internal account managers on a daily basis to ensure e know where we are with the individual cases. We are responsible for managing our workload and ensuring we are adhering to the businesses rules and regulations inside out of the office.
My communication skills have been developed as previously I did not have the confidence to approach people regarding work also I am comfortable holding a conversation when approached although I may not know the topic at first. Also my time management skills have improved as we are constantly working to deadlines.
My programme has been enjoyable and I have learned a lot from it, there has been a lot of small issues and 'teething problems' but my apprentice group and I have got through them and really reaped the rewards of working in a globally renowned company. I genuinely feel with the skills and experience I have gained even if we do not receive a job at E.ON we are confident to secure roles elsewhere.
The programmes structure is now understood and we are aware of our pathway through the apprenticeship. In all honesty the first 6 months was really difficult6 and no one really seemed to know what fit in where and the structure of the apprenticeship was not visible therefore creating confusion and nervousness in the group.
I have received a lot of support from E.ON and they have tried to put several things in place designed to specifically help me. There are constantly people you can turn to in the office and in the business in general. We were made aware of all the support programmes E.ON has so we know there is always someone or something to tuen to.
Since changing our training provider it is a lot more organised and I am gaining more 1 to 1 support from our training provider in order to secure as high a grade as possible. The whole team is also supported when we have team meetings, where we can air our views and concerns on the apprenticeship thus far.
The qualification has no real impact on my role the only knowledge I've gained from the qualification is some basic terminologies and understanding business structures and types. Also I have learned the impact positive and negative management can have and how to manage a team properly (which I cannot really apply but the skills can be applied to a lot of tasks)
There are none however when there are charity days they make a lot of different sporting activities to help raise money. Also I'm pretty sure there is an E.ON football team the opportunity to play however is rare vas the games are so few and far between. On one of our first days the office did a charity dodge ball game to raise money which seemed a lot of fun.
Yes
it provides stability and the support to push you and your career further if you want to, also if you are not fussed on forming a career there isn't a lot of stress on the role and its genuinely a great working environment to be in. If you work somewhere 5 days a week you have to enjoy it and everyone wants to see each other succeed here.
be certain what your walking into and know you are not guaranteed a job, work hard and make sure you give a positive first impression to your manager and the floor as there are a lot of opportunities you can gain valuable skills and knowledge from if you work hard and are recognised for your commitment.
