No day is the same, there are always new things to learn and experience. I work with a lot of different people in each sector of business tax. I don't just do the basic work, I am involved in more technical things already which has been really very interesting.
We are learning new skills every day, we have a lot of training and have developed massively since joining. We have training courses, online training and a lot of one to one or group experience which helps a lot in developing new skills. I have also applied knowledge from before.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme so far. I have got to do things that are beyond what I expected, I have challenged myself and loved it. It is very rewarding and everyone is very nice and helpful. It is nice to be able to get involved with so many clients and areas.
It is very well organised, there is a lot of guidance at each part. We have received timetables of the next years exams, when we will be out of the office and when things are expected by. It is also clear in the more long term what will be needed.
We receive a lot of support when needed, it is very each to fine support. We have people who are there to office advise about college, study, work and personal things. If we want to get involved in some types of work we are always free to ask and gain that experience.
We receive good support through our training advisor who check in with us regularly and we can contact when necessary. We have received some information a little late but this hasn't caused any big issues, we have a dedicated system to contact them when necessary with any queries we have.
Our qualifications help a lot in understanding a lot of the daily tasks we have to complete. I have seen already how just the first couple of exams have helped me be able to partake in some more complex work and how going forward this will only be more relevant.
Yes there are, although I have not attended many yet. There are monthly socials on the last Friday of the month, there are sports teams you can get involved in and there is always opportunities to network with other people, even at a way more senior level. It is a great place to work.
Yes
It is a great organisation with an amazing atmosphere. You get access to work and clients that is incredible. It is a very friendly atmosphere and a lot more relaxed than I expected. They want quality and it can be demanding but it is way more than worth the effort.
Be yourself, relax and prepare well. They are looking for effort and enthusiasm. I was nervous when going into my interview but there was no need to be, the people were just wanting to see that you had put in effort. It's a great culture at Deloitte and they just want to see you fit with it.
