  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme as it gives me the opportunity to progress my own career the way i want it to go. If for example i want to progress into a project manager, working at BT gives you that opportunity to develop those skills and work within a team supporting that.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer regarding what i want to take out of my apprenticeship. • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There can be limited support from the training provider but again this is based on being one of the first years to take on the full degree with BT and Ravensbourne. There are a lot of feedback session and discussions going forward to make the course better with support and training.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification helps a great deal to help me perform better within my role. It gives me a better understanding on project management within teams from all roles perspective as well as the basic knowledge you need within this industry. Without the qualification learning it would be a struggle in finding a role without that knowledge.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many extra-curricular activities to get involved in, there is a gym at my place of work where a lot of us gather after the working day to relax and focus on our health. There are gym classes added throughout the day for people with busier evenings. Also there is a big canteen to eat at daily with many other social clubs to attend if desired

  • 9a. Would you recommend BT Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Everything about BT can be quite scary, but with the right department and support from all team members its a very friendly and sociable place of work. You get a lot of support with work stacks and there isn't a massive pressure on apprentices to be the best straight away. Here at BT we love to teach people and help them learn.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT Group?
  • The best tip i would give is to be yourself, we are all honest and friendly people, we all only want the best for each other. Also be honest, if you don't know anything don't be afraid to admit that, no everyone will know it all at an interview process. You are applying to learn and develop your career.
