I am currently receiving schooling and m also on the site learning. I started by shadowing a few of the mechanics at the site. Learning how to troubleshoot mechanical problems on the production lines and also learned how o use machines in the shop. Currently am shadowing electricians, learning how to trouble shoot electrically.
I have learned various troubleshooting skills mechanically. I have learned/developed how to use various machine shop machines such as drill press, mill, table saw, tig welding, and how to use the cnc mill as well. I have learned how to troubleshoot electrically by checking voltages, and watching programs run.
I enjoy it very much. I had some mechanical skills and also some electrical skills coming in to this program. But now, especially mechanically, I have really developed those skills to a much higher level. I enjoy going to school to learn to material and being able to apply those skills at work.
So far the organization and structure has been great. There is always something planned for me to do. The structure as far as the combination of school and work has been great. The guys usually start out below my maximum capability and hen develop my skills from there, and when something is new to me I is brought on slow.
I receive great support. Whenever I have a question or need help with something there is always some for me to ask or talk to. All of the guys are always open to help me with something I don't understand. I always feel extremely welcome to learn from others.
I receive a lot of support. it I always made sure if I do or don't understand something, and if I don't they help me more. I get new skills everyday and they continue to intend on developing me to understand what I am doing and what I will need to do in the future.
It helps me know when I am doing something correct or not. Helps me by feeding some of the knowledge before hand so I know what I am doing. Through the training it helps me work safely which projects me and others. Gives me information that I will need in the future.
As far as I know I do not believe so. There may be some social activities but I am unsure of that. Currently I am not a part of any extra-curricular activity at work. I believe one may be a wellness group that involves the weigh/exercise room but I am unsure of that.
Yes
because it is a great work community. I feel as an employee I am treated very fair and well. I think I learn something new everyday. I enjoy coming to work as I am excited to learn. I feel that I am very welcome here by all the other employees.
It is a great place to you if you re safe and follow guidelines. The main thing here is being safe. You will enjoy working with GSK's great employees. There is always opportunity for change or development. You are treated very well from the employer. Being safe is the main concern here.
