it was really good, I had the chance to see patients, help on ward rounds, shadow consultants, fy1's, fy2's and healthcare professionals. I was shown the world of healthcare and surgery when I saw surgeries in theatre. all in all the work experience was a valuable experience and is the reason I applied for medical school and currently studying medicine.

teamwork through being on the multi disciplinary team;. professionalism through being there everyday and interacting with the patients and fellow doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals. Being in meetings showed me the importance of note-taking and communication as I realised how many different disciplines were involved in the care of all the patients.

I enjoyed it a lot - saw many different sides to medicine (good and bad) - such as teamwork and morale (good) but busyness and stress (bad). I feel like I have developed the skills vital to medicine and it has helped shape me into the medical student that I am today.

very well organised - the. consultant I shadowed had a lot planned for my friends and I which enabled us to get the most out of our work expeircne. we saw many different departments (colorectal, urology, obs and gynaecology) which showed us the variety of specialities that are available to us

a lot. I already knew about how the NHS works and the morals and principles. they run by, but seeing it played out in front of me was very valuable and I can say that I definitely learned a lot. I have the skills I saw there and I can see myself working in the NHS as part of this multi disciplined team in the near future.

a lot. I always knew I wanted a career in medicine but being on work exp I confirmed that this is what. I always wanted to do. I saw the different roles in a hospital and I know I would like to work in medicine or as a GP.. the atmosphere was great

I wasn't paid for this as it was only work experience but it was defiantly worth it. I learned so much that money can't buy for which I am very grateful. I cant wait to embark on this career I the future. I did pay for travel costs but as I don't live too far it wasn't bad.

not networking but I met lots of the team whcih I enjoyed. I hope to work in this hospital in th efurtube because ei it is so nice there and the staff are friendly and very very very helpful. I enjoyed all aspects of nhs life including their social life and acitvifes.

it is a nice environment and the staff there are very friendly and keen to teach us the ropes of medicine life! it was a wonderful experiwnce and one I won't forget. I hope anyone wishing to embark in medicine goes there to get their work experience to be honest

dress smartly to make a good impression, ask questions but not too many, be inquisitive, speak to patients, get involved, ask for opportunities (like shadowing other disciplines). it will be of great value to be honest. I learnt a lot there and I would like to go back in the future
