  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive training days, coaching days and classroom testing days. I can call other engineers and Openreach provide a telephone 'Coach on Demand' service where I can get on site help if I need it. They have also given engineers an App called 'Visualisation' which allows the coach to see what I see which is a brilliant idea and very useful.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have Team meetings where all the trainee engineers in my patch get together. it allows us to be made aware of our performance how to work smarter but it is a good opportunity for all engineers to chat about the job we do. At Christmas we had a team meal, again allowing all the engineers in my patch to get together and put the world to rights ;)
