On my day to day basis , my job is to maintain fluid filled cables throughout the south east of England.
Throughout my 2 years at ukpn , I've learnt a number of new skills through the training centre as well as on site. I'm training to be a Extra High Voltage fitter as well as a oil technicians so it requires a number of different skills.
Overall the program is very good and its a great company to work for.
The overall structure of the program is very good and its been planned well.
I receive a lot of help , there are many people I can contact for help and my managers push me to learn new things and help in anyway they can.
Most of the courses are planned out and filled with a lot of information which makes it a lot better to learn as much as you can. If need to learn a new skills , my company are quite happy to pay for the training for me.
The best way to learn a new skill is from a training course because you learn about what is right and what is wrong. A lot of my training course help me perform better on site.
There is but I don't get involved in any.
Yes
Its honestly a great company , I worked very hard to get here and I never have any regrets even though I had a well payed job before this.
Make sure your willing to do a lot of traveling , working hard and willing to do a lot of different training , this is a perfect job for you. If someone was still in school , I would recommend them to work very hard in maths , English and science.
