My job is a maintenance engineer and the main role is to keep production running ensuring machinery is running efficiently. Pre planned maintenance is a key aspect to keep machinery running.
yes
I enjoy my job a lot and the fact everyday brings up new challenges is always interesting to learn new things. The apprenticeship structure is really good and when in Birmingham I get to learn a wide range of skills.
At timers the apprenticeship has been all over the place with tutors and a lack off. The first block was very badly structured with what was being taught. But as a whole ther apprenticeship is good.
During my time at site ive enjoyed being able to work and learn different skills from different engineers. Although ive never had specific plans in the workplace to focus on developing new skills.
The college have always provided the support needed to complete any required tasks.
The qualification covers a wide range of skills which is good to progress as a multi skilled engineer.
