Supporting SharePoint related issues (intranet) as well as being inducted into entry level development work
I passed 2 MTAs (Microsoft Technical Awards) in Software Development and Web Development and intend go on to study for 2 further optional MTAs in Database Management and HTML5.
M&G made it clear from day 1 that they were a very family orientated company and as such I feel very comfortable here. I'm also lucky to have a supportive and friendly team around me.
Very much so, M&G apprentices the majority of the time go in to full time work within the company and personally the type of work I am given to do is part of what makes me feel valued.
I'm aware that the developers course I am doing is a prototype and as such has been subject to a lot of change. I've tried to embrace the change, and so far have been happy, but the structure has a tendency to be a little inconsistent. This is of course understandable however.
When I am away on 1 of 5 training weeks I attend, the support network there is fantastic. However back at work it can be a little hard to get hold of my assessors.
Full support in anything I choose. I've chosen to do some extra exams and the support I've been shown not only financially in taking the exams, but personally from my manager is fantastic.
I think bearing in mind my entry level position and the kind of responsibilities I'm given, I get a suitably fair salary. Of course living and working in London means higher overheads, however this is to be expected.
There's quite a lot of social activity that goes on outside work, organised by the sports & social committee. For example I've got involved with softball and 5-a-side football.
Yes
I think we're well respected here, paid fairly and in a good position to start a career within a fantastic company.
Show yourself to be caring, passionate and interested in what you will be doing. M&G appreciate people as a whole, some of the intangible factors that won't be on a CV.
