My main role is to make sure that production machines are runnibg smoothly and with full efficiency. I must carry out the pre planned maintenance to make sure breakdowns are reduced to minimum. If breakdown occurs i need to go there investigate and fix it if possible and as quick as possible.
So far i was able to develop skills like milling turning and bench fitting. Those skills require accuracy that is why it is so important to improve them to make sure that the work carried out is to the top standards so everyone is happy and there is no negative feedback on someones work.
I enjoy the course because i know it will get me where i want in the future but in the same time that experience is dimmed by poor hotel and food all the same in that hotel for the rest of my course. The most of all I enjoy learning the skills that can be useful in the future.
I think the time in the college is well organised but i do not like going away for the six weeks that distance because a lot can happen on the road. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. I think everyone would be better of i. The local college.
Guys from work always help me when i need. I get to experience a lot of activities at work so i cannot say i am bored. It is good opportunity to get knowledge that i need to function on my own and be the valuable engineer on the site i work for.
Every tutor in the college is more than happy to help in the whole process of becoming qualified engineer. They provide information, access to knowledge and practical assignments to improve our skills and knowladge. This is really good opportunity to become a very good engineer and get a very promising career.
The qualifications from the college cover everything that needs to be done in a work place. After finishing this training there will be nothing i would be not able to do. This training is created to make truly multiskilled engineers. I am really glad i have that opportunity to get where i want to.
Sometimes there is a social event that one of our colleagues orginizes and this is a good way to get to know each other. It is better environment than work because no one is in a rush or busy. We can talk outside of the work and that is good chance to meet each other.
Yes
This is a place that can provide lots of training and opportunities to be a valuable worker. Decent hours and staff on the site can help through the day so it is not a bad place to work for. Management sees you as a person not as a number in the records.
Just check if what tulip offers suits you. If everything is good and you are happy with that just pursue them so you can get a job in a decent workplace where people are nice and sound and nobody will require of you more than you are able to give.
