My job role is a deputy manager for the ambient logistics warehouse. I have lots of tasks every morning to complete before the end of my shift and daily interactions with staff members. We have projects every day that we need to achieve as a team so there are lots of responsibilities.
I have learnt lots from this course already. It is also helping me a lot in my job role with the leadership styles, time management and by creating a personal development plan. It has encouraged me to join up to a few more courses that my work have offered me.
I am really enjoying this programme. I believe it is helping me with my job role a lot. it has encouraged me to use different techniques every day for my tasks and be aware of different views that the staff might have. I am looking forward to working on the next step of this course.
At first I struggled with my programme but as soon as I had a meeting with my tutor and they explained everything to me and the process of the course then I soon started to see that my programme is organised and structured. Everything is together so its easier to log on and get some work done when I have a free moment at work.
I think I receive a lot of support from my employer. I have been given time to do my course at work and my manager and team help me with feed back when I feel I need it. I have been allowed hours to learn different management roles to help me with this course.
I feel that my training provider is there for me when I feel like I need support. there are a few points on this course when I have not understood something and I have sent my trainer an email or spoke to them on the phone to ask for guidance.
I feel that my qualification is helping me a lot to preform better in my job role daily as I am learning new styles of managing people and understanding people and this is great knowledge for every day use. I am enjoying the articles and videos that are very educating.
At my work there is not any extra curricular activities to get involved in. Although me and my other 5 deputies do arrange meals for ourselves every couple of months as we are too busy sometimes at work to have a personal chat and see how each others home life's are.
Yes
I have been here 11 years now and I have made a lot of very good friends over the years from working here. I have been allowed to change my rota over the years to suit me and the hours and pay are very good. There is always overtime too.
The hours and pay at Aldi are very nice and there is always overtime for everyone. There are a good bunch of people working here ao no one ever feels left out. You can apply to swap your shift if you need to suit home needs but It is a very physical job though so you do have to work hard.
