  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • At first the programme structure was difficult to understand, however it got better and the communication from the professional qualification team was a lot better. This was also impacted by my team not knowing all about the structure of the programme from the start. However as i started progressing my team members understood when i will be in and out of the office.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received plenty of support from the employer. The professional qualifications team was supportive with questions and would help with any technical questions I had for my qualification to. My people manager was able to refer me to people who knew answers to questions and was always considerate about giving me too much work and me not being able to revise for my exams.

  • The training provider was very helpful at answering questions i had on my exams. The material was very well organised and given to me. • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification has been very useful during the earlier part of my career. The accountancy qualification gave me a broad understanding of Finance, Accountancy and Business. However more recently I rely less on the qualification and more on experience and 'on the job' training. The qualification has also allowed me to gain understanding of other areas within accountancy.

  • 9a. Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • PwC has given me the opportunity to work and gain a qualification. The qualification has been extremely beneficial for both my work within PwC and my future career aspirations. I feel students of the ICAEW CFAB may benefit from on the job learning and being able to apply knowledge learnt in the classroom into work. This will allow the student to successfully complete their qualification.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • I found the application process very straightforward. The process felt very natural and I was notified of the process from very early on. The interview felt more like a "get to know you" chat as opposed to a formal style interview. I was very nervous going into the interview but was instantly calm when speaking to my interviewers.
