On a day to day basis, I will review client information making sure that it matches our records on file. I will also work closely alongside my CA / CAA's & Buddy Apprentice (who is also on my team) on my team who will go through tasks with me that I have not been able to complete before.
I have learned lots of new skills since joining ubs. This also includes previous skills that I had already had which I have now improved on to make even more of a success. I have learnt a lot with regards to my task management skills as well as time keeping, organization etc. However, I have developed on skills such as my communication skills.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme. I am surrounded by many many like minded people with similar targets and aspirations. I am being taught by an extremely good education provider that have given us full in depth study revision days. I am learning new and interesting things each and every day.
My programme is well organized and also well structured. There are lots of advanced planning with regards to events or training sessions / days. We are always given full details / information that we may need before attending certain events. There is a plan in place for how the programme should run.
I receive full support from my employer. It is clear that they spend a lot on investing in their employees and it is also evident that employee support is a big deal. Personally I believe that the support is offered in all forms; -line manager conversations / catch ups - team meeting / discussions - Health care (one of the biggest perks of support)
My training provider, gives me a lot of support. We have regular catch up meetings to monitor progress and any struggles that we may be having - whether it be work related or exam related. Fitch make sure that we attend a full 2 day study revision session before the exams take place.
This qualification will definitely help me to progress in my role as without it, there is no chance of me gaining a higher level of job at the end of the apprenticeship. Once I have completed my level 3, my plans are to then go on to complete the level 4 course so that I am able to progress even further with my career.
There are lots of extra curricular activities to take part in whilst at work. I am not too sure about particular sports clubs, however, I do go to the gym which is situated in the work building itself - which is extremely convenient and beneficial). As well as this there are lots of clubs to join too which meet on a regular basis too. I am a part of the baking club, knitting club, the veterans network
Yes
Its an amazing bank which is rated within the top 10 asset managers globally. They invest in their employees and ensure that we are helped to progress and continuing to grow. We are never shut down or pushed away, just pushed and motivated to do better and better. Couldn't say anything better. I am always recommending the apprenticeship programme.
Definitely apply for a position that you are interested in. You never know how much you will enjoy something until you actually try it. There is nothing to lose - what's the worst that can happen, you may get a rejection at some stage. But don't ever give up. Keep trying.
