Aiding the team in maintaining our broking relationships with our retained clients by working on materials used for active deals and day-to-day brokering.
Skills I have learnt or developed: Financial modelling e.g. DCF model. Understanding of the markets and accounting as a whole. Creating presentations and workbooks in UBS format, used when presenting or meeting with clients.
I really enjoy the work I do and the team I am within, I also very much enjoy the things I learn day to day as its interesting and engaging.
The program is well structured in both the exam side of the apprenticeship and the day-to-day role, exams timings and training are well planned out and my Line manager is good at structuring my workload throughout the working week.
I have always received support when needed throughout my apprenticeship so far and any issues I have had have always been resolved quickly.
The support from the training provider is good and covers everything we are expected to learn.
It provides a better understanding of the role I am in and helps with the fundamental knowledge.
There are lots of additional activities on offer from both UBS as a whole and also done internally in our team.

The environment is enjoyable, the collegues you work with are friendly and always willing to help, and the chance to work in a large bank provides excellent exposure into the world of work.
Research into UBS history and their principle values, and additionally include items in your CV that outline who you are as a person, and not just your academic achievements.
