I complete tasks for Client Advisors and their assistants each day, which includes updating client's data held on file or complete review packs on the performance of client's accounts held at UBS. I also send out letters to clients to update them on changes to their accounts and when they write to UBS, complete the changes that they would like to happen.
I have improved my communication due to having to speak to colleagues throughout my department when trying to complete a task correctly, which has also helped me to develop my skills in improving relationships with colleagues to make my work more efficient. I have also gained many IT skills as I have to use many different IT software within my job and the tasks that I have to complete.
I enjoy the programme quite a lot and appreciate the opportunities it has given me for my career path in the future very much.
I believe it is very organized as each year, UBS has improved the programme by listening to the previous apprentices and altered the programme to the improvemnts they have been given. I believe the structure is well thought out and has realistic goals to meet in order to complete the apprenticeship.
I receive a great amount of support from many people within UBS. I can always reach out to my line manger if there is ever a problem within work or outside of work and also the HR team offer great support if it is needed. I also believe that the colleagues I work with are always there to help and support us apprentices if we have any questions or concerns at work.
I receive a lot of support from Fitch Learning when completing my qualifications. They arrange workshops before each exam to help revise the content being learnt and answer any concerns we have about the exam. The online portal is available 24/7 for us to use and if we have any questions, there is an email that can be used to ask someone from Fitch Learning for their help.
I believe it helps greatly as the knowledge that I learn from these exams helps to understand the investments available in the financial industry, which needs to be understand in great depth within Wealth Management.
UBS offers many volunteering events each month which we can become involved in and they have many social networking events each year for many topics for example, Cultural Awareness, LGBT Community and Family Problems.
Yes
Because they have given me a great opportunity and made me feel comfortable with the decision to take on an apprenticeship rather than going to university. They offer many programmes within the bank so that it is not just focused on finances, but rather all the roles that are needed to make a bank successful.
I believe they should be well prepared for the interviews and ask questions about any queries they may have, because helpful answers will always be given regardless of what the question is about.
