  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a day to day basis I work on cloud infrastructure, scripting and automation. I use PowerShell to operate AWS and Azure for our clients needs. I attend daily calls where we discuss future work on projects, allowing me to gauge where the project is going and how my work helps.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I knew very little to none about most IT areas when I was hired but since I have been exposed to several different areas and feel like I am now skilled in areas such as scripting, cloud infrastructure and dealing with admin requests. I also now have a far better understanding and experience of real office scenarios

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the program. While I'm only 5 months in I feel I've learnt a lot and I'm now well situated to grow, improve and become a valuable member of the team. (More so than currently as I can start to do more as I become more productive)

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • With all companies issues can arise and blocks occur due to the nature of the world. But I have had no real issues that I can complain about. Everyone I have dealt with has been super helpful and clearly only want to see me succeed. So I'd say my programme is well structured.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive all the support I could possibly need. We all receive a buddy apprentice from the year above who will help you out loads whenever you need it. As well as a Career Councillor who guides you with targets and with day to day issues you may come across

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • QA are very hit and miss. While they do have support available to reach out to, the actual content and resources provided I feel are lackluster and could definitely be improved. I often find myself confused after doing their work and end up learning through over means instead as I find them better

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I don't personally feel that the qualification helps much with my role but that's why I did an apprenticeship not gone to uni. Education as a whole doesn't especially prepare you for many things in practice. But this apprenticeship as a whole is great for helping me improve performance

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yeah Accenture is great for helping you fit in and feel involved. We as staff go on monthly work meals to have a drink and eat, but in terms of formal events they have events quarterly for finances, monthly communication events and during induction I had several events from parties to food to meet people I would be working with.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Accenture as a company is fantastic for helping you grow, never expecting too much or too little, they help you grow at the right pace and give you all the building blocks that you need to succeed. Then it's down to you as a person to take advantage of it.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • I would say be yourself and communicate the reasons you want to join appropriately and if you don't get the role then you weren't the right fit anyway so there's no need to be upset about it. Accenture and at the end of the day you, just want the right fit.
