The qualification I study towards is a degree in Applied Chemical Sciences which ties in very well to the work I undertake. At work, we focus on the analytical side of Chemistry and the degree course covers the entirety of Chemistry. The theory has helped me to understand my role better.
At work, there are many social events. AZinspire is set up for anyone who has been working for the company less than 5 years. There are also apprentice groups who regularly meet up outside of work. Both these groups organise at least one social event every two weeks. At lunch times there are events such as lectures or fitness classes you can attend. Around Christmas time there are many company activities and there are regular networking days.
