My role as an apprentice is to shadow people in different areas to get a basic overview of what each role intails. I move around roughly every three months to get a good understanding of different roles and then I will adapt to that area by performing what i have learnt.
I have learnt many new skills which include my communication skills and the ability of meeting specific standards that are required for certain job roles. Work in the workplace has developed my communcation and social skills with new people as people are very welcoming which makes you feel a lot more at ease.
I really do enjoy working for my company. I enjoy the thought of working for a living as it makes me proud to say i have earnt my paycheck. I also get on with my colleagues which makes the environment i work in much better and makes me enjoy it more.
My apprenticeship programe was very well organised as my induction taught me a lot about the company as well as what their values were and what their expectations were. As soon as my induction finished, I went onto do my job and was properly working for the company ther week after, so it was all structured and organised very well.
I have the upmost support from my employer as I feel that I can go up to my manager or any colleagues that I work with and ask them for support and i am positive that I will recieve it. My manager offers my the guidence and support that I need at all times which put my mind at ease.
I always have the best support from my training provider as I have been given her email adress and have been informed that if I ever need any help or have any questions to ask, then she will respond with the most help she can give. I also see her most tuesdays which helps as if I ever need to talk, I will be able to talk to her then.
It helps me perform a lot better as I feel as though all the pressure has been taken off my shoulders as wen I am working or doing my college work, I can fel free to ask any questions about anything that I may be strggling with or need guidence with.
There is a football team on each area on the AstraZeneca site but unfortunately I am not on this team. However, I will make sure I put my name down fro it next time as it will help me interact with new people and get me to know people from other areas better.
Yes
I would recommend AstraZeneca to a friend becasue it is a brilliant place to work as you are able to do your job with no hastle and you are also able to enjoy it as you always work with brilliant people who will help you will anything and who you can also have a joke and a laugh with whilst you work.
You should always be confident in the place you work in as there is nothing to be shy or afraid about. The people there are always very nice so if you ever have any problems the just ask anyone who is around or ask your manager or the main person in the area as they will never have a problem with helping you out.
