On a day-to-day basis, I am responsible for the preparation of of tax returns for various individuals and various clients. I work alongside reviewers and managers in order to ensure that the services we provide and the returns we deliver are of the highest standard possible. I am also expected to answer any queries our clients may have as I am currently managing a mailbox for one of my clients.
I have learned new skills constantly throughout the duration of my apprenticeship so far. This is a demanding role, where picking up new skills and developing the already existing ones is key in order to perform on the most efficient level. The skills I have developed and improved include skills revolving around my day-to-day responsibilities, but also timeliness, punctuality, professionalism, confidentiality and many other traits required when working in a professional environment.
I enjoy the programme as it is very challenging and very rewarding. All of the help, guidance and support is in place and available for us to use and take advantage of. Our colleagues are incredibly helpful and our college tutors are of the highest standard. I am very happy with the programme. The training contract is a bit of a worry - after all your hard work, you could be dismissed after not being able to pass an exam.
The programme is very well organised and structured - we are always aware of our schedule and of when and where we are expected to be on a daily basis. We even received learning passports in which we can record our learning milestones - This will help us with our End Point Assessment.
Our employer in extremely supportive - all of the support and help we may need in constantly in place. We have a schedule which allows for time to prepare for our exams, while also making sure that we do not fall behind on any day-to-day responsibilities in the office. I am very happy with the support we receive from PWC.
I received a lot of support from my training provided throughout the duration of my course - our tutors are very experienced and supportive and they do their best in order to ensure that we understand everything that is being taught. The training we receive is constantly of the highest quality.
The qualification is very much related to some aspects of my everyday role at PWC, but only to a certain extent. I like the fact that going to college and studying for the qualification gives us a different perspective on work and allows us to build the knowledge required to pair with the experience we are currently gaining.
I play 5 a side football with the office team and I am also building up a department team that I can then sign up to a league. I take part in numerous recruitment events every month and volunteer to help out at any given opportunity provided I can attend.

PWC is a worldwide firm with experienced professionals and great progression routes. The firm provides all of the support needed in order for its employees to constantly succeed and strive to get better. It is a great workplace for people of all ages, and the variety of people means that we constantly understand others more and build more relationships.
I would advise anyone applying to truly show their passion for PWC as opposed to other firms. They need to have researched what it is they'd like to do in the firm and be aware that the firm is highly respectable and only looking for individuals who are constantly open to growing and developing on a daily basis.
