My role in the workplace is to help out other technicians in several jobs around the workshop. I also learn as I work which is a very good benefit because I get a hands on experience with also getting the theory side of the job. I can be on a different job every day depending on what work comes in
I have learnt how to be ambidextrous as that is very key to this job. I have built up strength, mentally and physically and I have learnt how to look into things in a different way, trying to find a different outcome that is better than one that has been suggested.
I enjoy my programme a lot because I have come into the programme knowing nothing, and I have grown in the workplace and learnt several different skills and seen many opportunities to further my knowledge in this industry. The people I work with also boost my enjoyment in my workplace.
It is very organised, everything is arranged at least a month before and if travel is needed, the travel is organised and paid for way before I go to the area. It is structured very well too, this is because when I go to college, all my dates are already handed over to me
I receive a lot of support, I can ask a question and get an answer straight away or a solution. I have equipment provided too and if I need help I will have someone helping me almost instantly, whilst teaching me where I went wrong whilst working on the job
I have a lot of support from my provider as they come in every other month and have meetings to see how I have progressed and if there are any problems in the workshop or even at home in my personal life. They are very supportive in my job role and at home
I perform better in my role from my qualification because it lets me learn and work, progress whilst gaining new knowledge and getting more of an understanding of the industry as a whole. I have progressed massively since I started working here and I feel a whole lot more comfortable in my job role
There are work parties on special events which allow the employers gain a closer relationship and gain a better understanding of the morale in the workplace. Everyone is on social media which allows the morale and company to grow as everyone can speak and arrange events and have a laugh and keep everyone involved and interested
Yes
It gives you a chance to work and learn about HGVs and they pay for you to go above ad beyond with endless qualifications, setting you up for the big industry of HGVs. They prepare you for the industry and also help you grow as a person and as a part of the company
Work hard and show willing because they will know you're serious about the job and the workplace and it shows that you wont let them down or disappoint. Keep working hard and always show that you want to work for them and that you are happy and proud to work here
