Apprentice technician Review

As an apprentice technician on a day to day basis at the start of the day I help clean up the workshop then once I have finished doing that I start to work with my dedicated mentor, during the day I may also help with washing trucks for MOT's.

yes I have learned many new skills while doing my apprenticeship so far including being more patient while working when I find something challenging or something new that I haven't done before. I have also improved my problem solving skills and further improved my knowledge of vehicles how they work and all of there various systems.

I enjoy my programme because I like the team of men I work with and enjoy working as part of a team. The program is exactly the way that I expected it to be. I also enjoy my work place and think that it is a good place to work at.

my training at college is well structured and organised and there is plenty of support in the workplace from my managers. my mentor is also well organised and will let me know if there is something that I need to work on and any of my other colleagues are willing to help me with any problems that I have.

my employer is very supportive if I ever have a problem or need to speak to them they will help as much as they can my dedicated mentor is also very supportive and tells me what I need to work on in order to improve my skills and further my knowledge.

in the beginning of my apprenticeship the support from my training provider was not good due to not getting visited often or on schedule by my skills coach but now that problem has been resolved and I feel as if my support from my training provider is much better.

I think tat my qualification helps perform a lot better in my role because things that I have learned from the theory help me to understand how things work and when I compare that to doing jobs on the systems that I have learned about I find it easier to work on them.

yes there is occasions and days out when we meet up and go out on social activates and socialise outside of the workplace.

because it is a good place to work at with a good group of guys that are very supportive and there is a very good general work environment.

I would tell them that it is a very hard working environment and you need to be up for a challenge and you need to be dedicated and need to be able to think on your feet and be good at solving problems as well as they need to be good at working as part of a team.
