My role on a day to day basis is to go out with a Gas engineer and learn the train on the tools, i.e. fixing boilers and heating systems as well as work independently where capable to improve my skill set vastly and become the best I can be.
The skill that I have learnt the most and am grateful for has to be improving my people skills immensely. I have achieved a level 2 in plumbing as well as achieving my gas safe which was my main goal that I set out to accomplish. Also have benefited from all of the training courses through the company that are needed within my job role
I really enjoy the apprenticeship that I have chosen, the work i do on a daily basis is really enjoyable and is what I have wanted to do. I work with a pretty big team and get along with everyone, I'm always learning new things from every engineer which helps in my development.
The apprenticeship that I'm on is pretty well organised, I'm always being put on the training that I need and always have the support of my peers and fellow apprentices in anything I need. I feel starting at a low point within the company I have a great opportunity to climb the ladder to higher roles in the future.
I receive massive support from my employer and I feel I can go to managers and supervisors with any problems i have wether work related or personal issues and can always expect the help that is required. The support from engineers is great too with helping me to improve my work ability.
I receive massive support from my training provider with anything i need college wise wether it be a day off to complete college work or some quite time leading up to really important exams, this helps to not get stressed and do the best I can at them and not fall behind.
The stuff that i learn on a day to day basis massively improves my skillset as i am always learning something different everyday. I am constantly adding to my big array of skills. The work I am undertaking at college through the exams and theory wise relates to my work daily so thats a massive help.
The people at work are always up for social gatherings outside of work to greater the bond that we have together this is great because everyone gets along very well and raises the morale in a work environment. It's a great team we have and i'm happy to be a part of it.
Yes
It's a great company to work for and the people that are here have been here for so long too and really enjoy it. There is always opportunity to move up the ladder to bigger and better job roles and the training they offer is second to none. amazing.
Advice that i would give would be to be patient and do not give up if you feel like you are not getting anywhere. Also try to stand out from the crowd and be different to attract attention. Just be the best version of yourself and good things will come.
