  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Being able to travel from Coventry (home) to London where my project is based is exciting as not many people get to do this, the programme is sometimes challenging but this can vary depending on what your project is doing. The programme on whole is vevy good , lots of support in different roles across the company

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The collaboration between CGI & QA is great, QA have workshops that I attend throughout the year , a weeks long, where I prep for my exam , coursework etc , the structure of this is down to you to let your mangers award of these workshops as they are external but the organisation from CGI to make sure you are atttending, happy etc is excellent

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support I revive from CGI comes from many areas these include ;the people on my project, to IT systems where I can learn new skills , take courses etc. There are a vast amount of internal emails for different support issues, IT helplines. The project support is great and there when & if you need it

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There is Lots of support , I have meeting with my skills coach from QA to help me focus on task, make sure I’m happy with the progress, pace etc the course is going at. The workshops provided & the online tools are are great support when learning all these new things

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Many of the technical things I am learning through QA can be applied to the programme I am on & this better helps me understand processes & conversations better as I understand the background behind these. I personally believe you learn more through doing an activity rather than learning about it however.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are loads of activities going on at different times , sponsored walks, careers fairs, sporing clubs etc. I currently don’t take part in these as I already attend training externally & was unfortunate to have a workshop week/ careers fair when an opportunity to attend/ help a careers fair came up

  • 9a. Would you recommend CGI to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • CGI is a great opportunity to learn a plethora of career changing things, it’s a great opportunity from college/ A- levels & send you straight into the heart of a growing, interesting global firm. Once passed the higher apprenticeship level or if you entered as a graduate you can change your career up through taking on new roles , moving projects etc , there seems to be no cap on the learning you can do

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CGI?
  • Apply! Have a look the requirements , locations etc. If they meet your expectations go for it! This is by far the best decision I made for my career the levels of support, challenges & career opportunities here is amazing, I have no regrets applying for CGI at all! Good luck! : ) - I hope to see many of you here!
