I audit several different companies at different times depending on their Year End. This involves, learning on the job and speaking to several clients. Yesterday for example I was at a client site in Bank station, I had a meeting at 9 - 10 about expenses before being taught by my senior how to accurately document the explanation given.
Yes, before I walked in to EY I couldn't even define accountancy. Now not only do I know what it means, I can now aid an audit from start to finish. EY has given me confidence and knowledge that I will take away and use for many years in the future.
At the start, the programme was a little was a little scary as the majority of people are older and more knowledgeable than me. However, I have been facilitated extremely well and I am happy to say that I feel like I am part of a team and that makes me happy.
EY is very well organised. I have a calendar that accurately maps what I do on a daily basis and I learn from different experiences and clients on a weekly / daily basis. I think in order to improve, a little bit of prior warning as to what busy season is would help!
I have received a lot of support in terms of education, pensions and confidence. I have been taught how to do a very useful skill and job. This enables me to push myself into a field that I normally wouldn't venture in. There's no place I'd rather be
The quantity of questions is a little excessive by this point. Anyway, I have received a lot of support in terms of education from Kaplan and from EY. It has taught me a lot about accountancy and finance and this is very useful to have in the future. More questions?
I have adapted, overcame and evolved through EY. They have supported me throught out the whole process. EY has given me confidence and knowledge that I will take away and use for many years in the future. I have been facilitated extremely well and I am happy to say that I feel like I am part of a team and that makes me happy.
The social life is alright. There are quite a lot of drinking events. However, I would like more sports teams especially an EY football team. I shall explore this if and when I am qualified. For I am very busy at the moment. It is something that they can improve in
Yes
How can you answer a one word question with 50 words! EY is good to work for as they pay fairly well, it is a good team building job with a lot of learning. EY has given me confidence and knowledge that I will take away and use for many years in the future.
Good luck. It is very hard to get in. However, if you are right for EY, EY is the right accountancy firm to go to. Be confident and clear with the ability to question and learn when necessary. Always look smart as this makes you feel smart and smile! a lot
