When I first joined EY, there were various induction and training days which helped my peers and I settle into EY. We are assigned a buddy and a counsellor to support us with our journey at EY, to raise any concerns we have and to guide us with our studies and growth in the company.
We are given guidance from our team on a daily basis, helping us to complete our tasks and enhance our understanding on the work we are completing. Our mentor is there to help us with any generic questions about our studies or EY. The support we receive is helpful daily.
We receive support from external training providers in our studies, who help us with our qualification, however internally, there are specific teams who are there to assist us with any concerns when working towards our qualifications. Overall, we receive a large amount of support when working towards our professional qualifications.
Working through my qualification helps me understand the work I am performing on the job to a greater extent. It gives you a greater understanding, and enhances your technical knowledge. This helps me perform better in my role and improves the work I am producing, and helps me understand it more.
There are a range of extra-curricular activities to get involved with at EY, some examples of these are: women's network, sport teams. We also have the opportunity to attend recruiting events/networking events. There are many things to get involved with, all of which are a great opportunity to get involved with.

EY is a great learning opportunity to learn whilst working at the same time. As a school leaver, EY has helped teach me a vast amount of skills and helped progress within my professional career. Being able to complete the professional qualifications whilst working is a great opportunity to have.
A tip that I would suggest when applying to EY is to research the service line that you are applying to, to decide that it is right for you. I would also recommend getting involved in any networking events and opportunities. Research the role you are applying In order to make sure that it is right for you.
