My day to day job involves client management and arranging insurance for Financial Institutions globally. During the day, I am tasked with managing accounts and ensuring the best possible service for our clients. I am also assist others within the team to complete their tasks in a timely manor.
I have learnt many valuable new skills in which I use going forward in my career and use these skills outside of my career, in my personal life. These skills include sales, negotiating, maths and presentation skills. Also, I have become a super user with internal systems we operate with.
I thoroughly enjoyed the programme as it has given me the opportunity to explore the world of Insurance which I have never been exposed to before or had the opportunity to discover. This has allowed me to meet new people who I have built valuable relationships with now moving forward.
The programme is organised and structured quite well. There was a clear plan in place and the process getting in was straight forward and the response time was relatively fast. However, there were a few mid term changes which we weren't aware of at the time and this caused stress and inconvenience. Specifically, the change in the duration of the programme was not well received.
I have received a huge amount of support from my employer. They have listened to all my concerns and have tried their hardest to rectify any issues which I have raised. They are very supportive of career and personal development which is important when deciding which employer to choose for your future career.
I have received a decent amount of support from the training provider when working towards my qualifications. They do respond fairly quickly when an issue is raised and they will try to get the answer you need. However, the communication between the employer and training provider does have room for improvement.
The qualification through the training provider does not help me perform better in my role at all. I believe it is a pointless competency qualification which only wastes the time you have which could be spent on revising for the qualifications which actually involve your day job. This should be removed or improved.
There are plenty of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at work. There is a young professionals group and many sports day activities each year to get involved with. There are also various social drink events to attend and many networking events to meet different people around the business. s

Have a look at the company online and decided whether your goals and values match Willis Towers Watson's. Really understand what role you're getting in to and whether you fit the requirements for the role before making any decisions. Overall, it is a great company to work for.
