On a day-to-day basis I deal with customers who have any queries to do with their finance agreements they have with either Rolls Royce, Mini, BMW, Aston Martin or any brand under Alphera. I work with a big team who are looking to also re-collect debt that is owed to the company and get to speak to some celebrities too!
I have learnt so much within my short time at BMW, I have learnt all the clauses to the finance agreements we sell as a company and the options throughout the agreement. I also have a good understanding of the customer journey from beginning to end and the how people circumstances change and what we can do to help.
I have really enjoyed the programme so far it is nice to take a break from my department in my work life and understand how other departments work and where my department sits within the business and have a greater understanding of the motor finance industry. My managers and team have been very supportive as have my training provider Calibre!
I am fully aware of all my deadlines and understand what is expected of me throughout the entirety of my apprenticeship. My mentor is always there if I have any questions about the apprenticeship and extremely understanding should you need an extension on any of your work and will always try to push you to achieve your goals.
From my employer I have someone that I report to, who is my senior advisor. I get lots of support and they always try to encourage us to network within the business and have contacts throughout, to help us if we ever need any help moving forward in our working careers.
Calibre give us lots of support and are on hand to help us out at any time if we need about our apprenticeship and also come to see us once a month to get an understanding of how everything is going in our social and working lifes and to ultimately ensure we are still enjoying our role
My qualification helps me understand the finance as a whole and gives me more confidence when speaking to customers if I have completed a unit of work which is applicable to my job as I have a much better understanding. It alspo helps me understands how we interact with dealerships and why it is good we communicate with dealers too!
I occasionaly get involced within the 5 - a - side teams at work where we play at a local recreation centre and I also go to lots of car meets with the other apprentices in our spare time and when there are car meets at work we also go to those
Yes
I think it is a great company to work for as everyone is like minded and want to get the work done. I enjoy that within the team and it is also creates friendly competition on our figures and who can be the best out of the team which I really enjoy
The only tip I would give is to make sure when you join you are commited to job and hard working, they want you to be the best person you can be and if you are not commited to the role then it can hinder progression further down in your career for BMW but the harder you work the more oppurtunities you get!
