I am working as an associate which means I am involved with performing some of the evidence gathering activities and also client facing on most jobs. I report to an in-charge or a manager who assigns work to me.
I have completed 7 ICAEW exams already and will complete 3 more by the end of the academic year. Along with this, I am developing valuable employability skills and auditing skills too.
The people at PwC are amazing. You always feel well supported and looked after by your audit teams. They value your personal development.
The programme is well structured. We pass exams and gain work experience for the ACA qualification. However, unexpected changes are made at the last minute due to changing business needs so you need to show flexibility.
There is a lot of support available within the firm and regular emails etc. received to inform employees of events such as seminar for mental health.
The university of Reading teaches the degree well with the tutors available for questions and guidance if required. Most lecturers are well above average at their job.
The knowledge gained at university directly relates to the work done on placement giving a chance to put theory into practice.
There are social drinks that happen regularly at work as well as end of audit meals. There is opportunity to socialise within the firm through various other events.

It is very valuable experience that you gain at a young age on this program. It is called the Flying Start Degree which is literally is.
Don't take group assessment lightly. It is as important as the interview.
