My role requires me to carry out specific tasks such as iXBRL tagging and accounts preparation. Day-to-Day tasks involve due diligence before a job is started and quite a lot of planning. I enjoy what I do as it gives me a sense of purpose and achievement upon completing a task
I have developed communication skills well as before I started here I would have never had a conversation with a client without being anxious about it, now it isn't a problem. Also I have learnt how to carry out specific accounting based tasked and developed my knowledge to meet the needs of my work
I am really enjoying the programme as it gives me a sense of pride as I have gone out and got myself a good job which requires a lot of hard work, something which I thoroughly enjoy. The achievement it brings is good as it allows me to further my career.
It is very well organised as it is split between work and college well. My employer sets aside time in order for me to go to college when needed in order to get closer to chartered standard. The programmes has a rigid structure which is very easy to follow and I am benefiting from this.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, internal training courses are something that I have attended regularly and have developed understanding through these courses. Also whenever I am stuck in work I know I can ask supervisors or my line manager for support and ill get it straight away.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider as I have regular lessons which every concept is well explained within. Also there are online platform that are create by them that allow me to test my knowledge and go back to my tutor if there are any concepts that I am struggling with.
It gives me a wider knowledge of accounting to an extent that I can go out to a clients with a supervisor and get work done there with minimal help. As I have progressed through my qualification I have gained a more advanced knowledge which has allowed me to go back to work and do my job competently.
We have department socials every 2 months which I always get involved in as it is important to have good communication within the department. Also we have a five-a-side team which I can get involved with every so often. There are regular office socials at different venues every quarter that I attend.
Yes
