I am currently working to be a Technical Sales Account Manager, my daily tasks include supporting the sales team to enter information into our systems. To complete reports of sales such as forecasts and pipelines. Visit customer sites to ensure that we keep a high level of interaction with our customer and too complete uni work.
I would like to think that I have learnt a number of skills in my short time at Schneider Electric Systems UK LTD, how to interact with customers. Spending time in a professional work environment and collaborating with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed in a swiftly and timely manor.
During my time at Schneider Electric Systems UK LTD, I would like to say that I have enjoyed the programme so far, I think that I enjoy doing both a Technical and commercial occupation as I am completing an engineering degree but working in the commercial side of the business so I get to see both sides.
From my short time at Schneider Electric Systems UK LTD, I believe that the programme has been very well structured from day one. My manager has a large spreadsheet which contains milestones to meet my development, I am also spending time in different areas of the business to ensure I gain full knowledge of all the areas.
Whilst being an employee of Schneider Electric Systems UK LTD, I believe that I have received a very great deal of support from my employer, if we need help it is very easy to ask and get assistance from my colleagues, we can also decide the days that we need to take off to completed University Coursework etc.
Whilst attending the University of Lincoln, we have weekly lectures that are 2 days per week and last around 1 hour, there we can answer if we have any questions or need help. We can also email the University of Lincoln Lecturers and they are very obliging to help with any help.
I believe that having an understanding of the systems will allow me to sell the product better in the future, by completing a degree at the university of Lincoln, it allows me to gain the knowledge and give me and expose to controls systems and there behaviors and how they can benefit a business etc.
At Schneider Electric Systems UK LTD there are a number of extra curricular systems in place to be able to get involved in for example when we joined the company we had a week induction to get to know everyone. We are attending a weeks "early talent development programme" to get to know more about ourselves.
Yes
Throughout my time at Schneider Electric I have been supported to the maximum by all my colleagues. I have been made to feel like a valued member of the team and would like to believe that I have developed as an individual in a number of areas during my short time.
The best type of advice I would give to people applying to Schneider is to embrace the opportunity, be prepared to work hard and to be the best person you can be. Try to get as much exposure round the business as possible as that can only stand you in good stead for when you finish your apprenticeship.
