Site progress managing sub contractors internal training external training provided Factory visits to elaborate on system/component knowledge how to use programs such as conject and BIM effectively understanding what schematics are and how they represent systems to be installed reading architectural drawings
time keeping meeting deadlines communication presenting skills Being a team player staying productive training is provided to develop personal and professional skills I have learnt how to communicate effectively with a range of different people and my confidence has boosted since being on the scheme.
Great program with lots of training and opportunities to learn and progress within the role and as an individual.
The program is very structured. I have to attend training regularly and have to meet deadlines for my internal portfolio. Great learning curve for anyone new to the industry. Induction day was well structured when joining - talks from the director and other influential people within the business. Frequent progress meetings to ensure you are on track and where you need to be.
If I have any issues I can easily talk to my team and they are always happy to help. Having the support from my manager and director gives me more confidence in what I am doing. Mace try to support you in every and any way possible and you have access to some of the best professionals in the industry.
I do not recommend the city of Westminster for the HNC in building services. The course is not structured or organized its a waste of money and time. 0/10
The HNC course content has changed and does not help me with my role in any way. 0/10 The internal mace portfolio has helped me grasp a good understanding of how building services are incorporated/work within the building. How they are installed efficiently and how to manage a package effectively. 10/10
