  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme a lot . It allows me to develop my knowledge of the restaurant industry which I am already interested in. I enjoy learning about the British Values section as it has opened my eyes to the way that we think . I think it also helps when you have an amazing Instructor like mine! :)

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very well structured with a plan that I can view which shows what lesson I will be completing each week. It allows me to follow this plan in chronological order and gives me a clear start and end goal which helps me to set targets which are achievable.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer, they are always happy for me to come in earlier than my shift is to complete my computer based work and they are always there for a chat if I have any concerns about my work. I couldn't wish for a better employer than McDonalds to do this apprenticeship with.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support from Linda , she sets me goals to work on for the next meetings and she also is available most times when I need her support. She'll be there to answer the stupid questions if I have little concerns which is very helpful and puts my mind at ease a lot.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It allows me to further my knowledge in the role and I can start to understand what the customer is expecting so can tailor my attitudes to their needs. I need to work on my quality skills however as I have been told by my training provider that this is very important for the apprenticeship.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes , there are football teams for me to get involved with where we have recently just competed in the McDonalds Cup . It is a good way to boost morale and strengthen the bond with colleagues aswell as the company providing a way for us to stay fit and healthy which I think is a good idea.

  • 9a. Would you recommend McDonald's to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because they are always supportive of me and constantly strive for me to do better in everything I do . They will pick me up on the things I do wrong but will always praise me when I correct these issues and provide support on how I can develop further. I am happy.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
  • I would tell them to definitely apply because it is a supportive environment I have developed my knowledge further on the restaurant business and I feel with the skills I have learnt that I will succeed more than I would have done if I had chosen another company to work for.
